EL METODO SE REFIERE A UN TRATAMIENTO DE ENFERMEDADES INFECCIOSAS EN ANIMALES MEDIANTE LA INICIACION DE CAMBIOS CUALITATIVOS Y CUANTITATIVOS EN LAS CELULAS FAGOCITICAS DE DICHOS ANIMALES. LA ACTIVACION TIENE LUGAR MEDIANTE LA ADMINISTRACION DE UN AGENTE ACTIVADOR DE LAS CELULAS FAGOCITICAS, TALES COMO INMUNOMODULADORES; DECITOQUINAS TALES COMO LAS INTERLEUQUINAS (INTERLEUQUINA -1,2,3,4,5 Y 7), DE INTERFERONAS Y DEFACTORES ESTIMULANTES DE LA COLONIZACION; AGENTES ANTIMICROBIANOS TALES COMO LAS ENZIMAS MUCOLITICAS, LA LISOENZIMA, O LA LISOSTACINA; AGENTES QUIMIOTRATANTES TALES COMO LOS POLISACARIDOS Y EL CIMOSAN. LA ACTIVACION APROPIADA DE LAS CELULAS FAGOCITICAS EN LOS ANIMALES PARA UNA TERAPIA MAS EFECTIVA REQUIERE NO SOLAMENTE EL INCREMENTO DEL NUMERO TOTAL DE CELULAS CON PARTICULAS DE CELULAS FAGOCITOSAS, SINO TAMBIEN UN INCREMENTO EN EL NUMERO DE PARTICULAS FAGOCITOSAS POR CELULA. DE ESTA MANERA EL PRESENTE INVENTO TAMBIEN SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA MEDIR LA EFICIENCIA DE LOS AGENTES FAGOCITOACTIVADORES PARA PREDECIR Y VIGILAR LA TERAPIA APROPIADA.
