Abstract

An extendable device for hanging out laundry has a housing 1, in which is rotatably mounted a line-winding roller 6 which is provided with a handle 7 and which is loaded in a direction of rotation by a spring 10 and can be blocked against rotation by a locking device 8, 9. A plurality of line strands 16 are arranged between the winding roller 6 and a batten 18 which can be pulled away from the housing 1.
