SE PROPONE UN DISPOSITIVO PARA LA INERTIZACION PASIVA DE LA MEZCLA DE GAS QUE SE GENERA EN UNA CENTRAL NUCLEAR EN UNA SITUACION DE ACCIDENTE, QUE SE BASA EN LA UTILIZACION DE SUSTANCIAS QUIMICAS, DONDE PARA CONSEGUIR UNA TEMPERATURA DE REACCION DETERMINADA SE REALIZA BAJO LIBERACION DE UN GAS DE INERTIZACION O MEDIANTE DISGREGACION O REACCION DE LA MEZCLA DE GASES. EL DISPOSITIVO ES APROPIADO ESPECIALMENTE PARA SU UTILIZACION EN UNION CON RECOMBINADORES CATALITICOS PARA LA ELIMINACION DE HIDROGENO MEDIANTE OXIDACION CON EL OXIGENO PRESENTE. EL CALOR GENERADO EN ESTA RECOMBINACION DESARROLLADA DE FORMA ISOTERMICA PUEDE SER UTILIZADO DE TAL MODO, QUE LAS SUSTANCIAS QUIMICAS SE CALIENTAN SOBRE LA TEMPERATURA NECESARIA, ENCONTRANDOSE SU TEMPERATURA DE REACCION POR ENCIMA DE LA TEMPERATURA (POR EJ. 100 ION DE ACCIDENTE.
