Abstract

The present invention consists of a device for controlling the use of a television by means of a magnetic payment card, which has a payment monitoring board 1 combined with the television base board 3, setting up the following link lines or bridges: power supply line 4, keyboard lines 6, Infrared In line 8, Infrared Out line 10, mute line 11, RGB and Blanking lines 13 and 14, Sadcastle line 16. The payment monitoring board 1 is also connected to a manually inserted magnetic card reader 2, via four lines, that of the power supply 18, that for synchronization 19, that of the card position microsensors 20, and finally the data line 21. On the payment monitoring board there is a microprocessor 22, an EPROM memory unit 25, a non-volatile EEPROM memory unit 26, a calendar clock 27, an OSD generator 29 and a synchronization adapter 30.
