PARA ACTIVAR LA TARJETA DE CREDITO, EL USUARIO DE LA TARJETA DE CREDITO TIENE QUE INTRODUCIR UN CODIGO DE IDENTIFICACION QUE LA TARJETA DE CREDITO COMPARA CON UN CODIGO DE IDENTIFICACION QUE HAY ALMACENADO EN DICHA TARJETA DE CREDITO. LA TARJETA DE CREDITO SE ACTIVA SI COINCIDEN LOS DOS CODIGOS DE IDENTIFICACION ANTEDICHOS. SI SE INTRODUCE UN CODIGO DE IDENTIFICACION INCORRECTO UN NUMERO DE VECES DETERMINADO, LA TARJETA DE CREDITO SE SIGUE ACTIVANDO, SI BIEN DE FORMA RESTRINGIDA. ADEMAS, LA TARJETA DE CREDITO SUMINISTRA UN CODIGO DE ERROR. TRAS LA DETECCION DEL CODIGO DE ERROR, EL TERMINAL ENVIA UN CODIGO DE ALARMA AL SISTEMA DE PROCESAMIENTO. EL CODIGO DE ALARMA CONTIENE PREFERENTEMENTE UN INDICATIVO DEL LUGAR DONDE SE ENCUENTRA EL TERMINAL.
