Abstract

In a switching device (1a), provided especially as a temperature monitor and a signalling switch for radiant heating bodies of glass-ceramic cookers, the end, located at the base (2), of the outer tube (7a) (consisting of quartz glass or the like) of the expansion rod temperature sensor (6a) is supported such that it can move with respect to the base (2) such that this end carries out the movements required to operate the switch. The temperature sensor (6a) is mounted with a bracket-like flange body (10a) on a sensor holder (82) of the base (2) such that one and the same base (2), including essentially the entire switching mechanism, can also be provided with a temperature sensor in which the inner end of the inner rod carries out the movement required to operate the switch. In this way, different sensor systems can optionally be arranged on one and the same apparatus head, with simple production, for matching to the respective requirements. <IMAGE>
