UN PROCESO RELACIONADO CON EL TRATAMIENTO CONTINUO DE UNA PULPA DE FIBRA CON UNA SOLUCION QUIMICA, MEDIANTE LA FORMACION EN UNA SUPERFICIE FILTRANTE DE UNA CAPA DE UNA SUSPENSION DE MATERIAL FIBROSO Y MEDIANTE SU ALIMENTACION A TRAVES DE UNA O VARIAS ETAPAS DE TRATAMIENTO QUIMICO, EN EL CUAL LA SOLUCION QUIMICA ES DESPLAZADA A TRAVES DE LA CAPA. DE ACUERDO CON ESTE METODO, EN CADA ETAPA DEL TRATAMIENTO SE UTILIZAN DOS LIQUIDOS DE TRATAMIENTO DIFERENTES, LOS CUALES SON SUCESIVAMENTE DESPLAZADOS A TRAVES DE LA CAPA. LA PRIMERA SOLUCION DE TRATAMIENTO ES UNA SOLUCION QUIMICA QUE CONTIENE UNA MAYOR CANTIDAD DE PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS ACTIVOS DE LOS QUE SON CONSUMIDOS EN LAS REACCIONES QUE OCURREN EN LA CAPA DE PULPA, PREFERIBLEMENTE APROXIMADAMENTE DOS VECES LA CANTIDAD. EL SEGUNDO LIQUIDO DE TRATAMIENTO ES UNA SOLUCION QUE NO CONTIENE PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS ACTIVOS EN UNA CANTIDAD SIGNIFICATIVA EN TERMINOS DE LA REACCION. SU PROPOSITO NO SOLO ES DESPLAZAR ESA PORCION DEL PRIMER LIQUIDO DE TRATAMIENTO DE LA CUAL LOS PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS ACTIVOS HAN SIDO GASTADOS, SINO TAMBIEN ESA PORCION QUE AUN CONTIENE LOS PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS ACTIVOS ELIMINANDOSE COMO UN FILTRADO. DEL FILTRADO DE LA ETAPA DE TRATAMIENTO, ESA FRACCION ES RECUPERADA, LA CUAL TIENE LA MAS ALTA CONCENTRACION DE PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS Y CONTIENE LA MAYORIA DE LOS PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS ACTIVOS ABANDONANDO LA CAPA Y ESTA EN UNA CANTIDAD TAL QUE CUANDO ES REFORZADO CON UNA SOLUCION QUIMICA PURA, SE PUEDE UTILIZAR EN SU TOTALIDAD CON UNA SOLUCION DE TRATAMIENTO PRIMARIO. EL VOLUMEN TOTAL DE LIQUIDO DE LOS LIQUIDOS DE TRATAMIENTO ES SUSTANCIALMENTE MAYOR QUE EL VOLUMEN DE LIQUIDO PRESENTE EN LA CAPA EN SU ABANDONO DE LA ETAPA DE TRATAMIENTO PREFERIBLEMENTE 2 A 3.
