LA REACCION RESULTANTE ENTRE LOS DOS PARTICIPES AGLOMERANTES PRODUCE DETECCION CUALITATIVA Y/O CUANTITATIVA DEL ANALITICO QUIMICO, BIOQUIMICO O BIOLOGICO EN EN UNA MUESTRA. UN APARATO DE ENSAYO PREFERIDO COMPRENDE (A) UN SUSTRATO CUYA SUPERFICIE REFLEJA DIFUSAMENTE Y ESTA RECUBIERTA CON CAPAS OPTICAS ANTI REFLECTANTES; (B) UNA FINA CAPA DE MATERIAL ANTI REFLECTANTE ACTIVADA PARA AGLOMERAR EL MATERIAL RECEPTIVO; (C) UNA CAPA DE MATERIAL RECEPTIVO CAPAZ DE INTERACTUAR CON LA ESPECIES QUE SE ENSAYARAN. LOS COMPONENTES A-C SE PRODUCEN EN UNA SUPERFICIE PREFORMADA ACTIVA OPTICAMENTE CON RESPECTO A LUZ AL MENOS EN UNA CIERTA BANDA DE LONGITUDES DE ONDA.
