Abstract

A depilatory apparatus for removing body hair (850) on the human body is described, in which at least one erection element (801) is provided, which is mounted rotatably in the rotating cylinder (4) of the depilatory apparatus. By means of a drive roller (821) which is connected to the erection element (801) and moves along a track on the inside of the housing of the depilatory apparatus during rotation of the rotating cylinder (4), the erection element (801) is likewise set in rotation. In this case, the direction of rotation of the erection element (801) is directed counter to the direction of rotation of the rotating cylinder. As a result, in particular those body hairs (850) which are pressed tightly against the skin of the user due to corresponding growth or due to the rotary movement of the rotating cylinder (4) are reliably erected again.
