Abstract
Un procedimiento para la separación de una pluralidad de hidrocarburos aromáticos de la serie bencénica de una mezcla de los mismos con hidrocarburos no aromáticos que comprende introducir la mezcla en un sistema de extracción de fases múltiples en contracorriente en un punto intermedio; introducir un disolvente selectivo glicólico que es en esencia inmiscible con hidrocarburos no aromáticos dentro de una extremidad del sistema en contacto de extracción con la fase hidrocarburo del mismo; mantener el sistema de extracción bajo presión suficiente para mantener líquido el contenido fluyente y mantener el contenido fluyente de la zona de extracción a una temperatura por encima de 40º C retirar refinado sustancialmente libre de aromáticos y libre de glicol de la misma extremidad del sistema que aquélla en la cual se introdujo el disolvente; retirar el extracto glicólico rico en cromáticos de la otra extremidad del sistema realizar una separación previa de dicho extracto en condiciones evaporativas para poner en libertad la mayoría de aromático más valioso del mismo junto con no aromáticos de volatilidad equivalente condensar los vapores así liberados y devolver el condensado al sistema de extracción cerca de dicho otro extremo; conducir el resto del extracto a una zona calentada; separar los hidrocarburos aromáticos del disolvente en dicha zona; someter los hidrocarburos aromáticos a rectificación y devolver el disolvente sustancialmente libre de hidrocarburos al sistema de extracción.
