Abstract
PROCESO DE TRATAMIENTO POR ATAQUE ALCALINO SEGUN EL PROCESO BAYER DE BAUXITA MIXTA O BAUXITA DE TRIHIDRATO DE ALUMINA QUE CONTIENE TAMBIEN ALUMINA EN ESTADO DE MONOHIDRATO EN LA PROPORCION PONDERAL DE AL MENOS 5% DE LA CANTIDAD TOTAL DE ALUMINA EN LA BAUXITA. SE UTILIZAN LICORES DE ALTA CONCENTRACION EN SOSA CAUSTICA DURANTE LOS DOS ATAQUES A BAJA Y ALTA TEMPERATURA DE LA BAUXITA, ESTANDO EL LICOR DEL PRIMER ATAQUE CONSTITUIDO POR LA MEZCLA DE UNA ALICUOTA DE LICOR DESCOMPUESTA CON EL LICOR SIMPLEMENTE DECANTADO OBTENIDO DEL ATAQUE A ALTA TEMPERATURA DE LOS RESIDUOS DE PRIMER ATAQUE QUE CONTIENE MONOHIDRATO DE ALUMINA. A PARTIR DEL LICOR SOBRESATURADO OBTENIDO DEL PRIMER ATAQUE, TRAS LA DECANTACION, FILTRACION Y DILUCION PARA REDUCIR SU CONCENTRACION EN SOSA CAUSTICA, SE PRECIPITA POR DESCOMPOSICION EN PRESENCIA DE UN CEBO UN TRIHIDRATO DE GRAN PUREZA CON UNA PRODUCTIVIDAD ELEVADA SOLUBILIZABLE SUPERIOR A 95%.
