Abstract

Device which comprises a cable-tensioning system for eliminating the slack in the cable of a parking brake or similar device, which includes a re-positionable holding device for retaining an adjuster ratchet in a locked state, stressed by a spring, during transportation and installation of the system in a vehicle. Three embodiments of the invention are characterized, respectively, by the use of a locking pin, which can be displaced axially, which defines a stop in the path of the adjuster ratchet, a locking spring which has an arm position, intended for insertion in a corresponding notch contained in the perimeter of the adjuster ratchet, and a device of the locking keeper (fastener catch), stressed by a locking spring, for interacting with the teeth of the ratchet.
