UN CONJUNTO DE CONVERSION DE ONDAS TRANSVERSALES EN ONDAS DE LAMB, DISPUESTO A LO LARGO DEL PRIMER EJE, CONVIERTE LA ONDA TRANSVERSAL EN ONDAS DE LAMB QUE SE PROPAGAN A LO LARGO DE UNA PLURALIDAD DE TRAYECTOS PARALELOS EN DONDE CADA TRAYECTO ESTA ASOCIADO A UNA POSICION AXIAL DIFERENTE EN EL SUBSTRATO RESPECTO AL PRIMER EJE. LAS ONDAS DE LAMB SE VUELVEN A CONVERTIR EN ONDAS TRANSVERSALES MEDIANTE UN CONJUNTO DE CONVERSION DE ONDAS DE LAMB EN ONDAS TRANSVERSALES DISPUESTO A LO LARGO DE UN EJE PARALELO RESPECTO AL PRIMER EJE, EL SEGUNDO CONJUNTO DE CONVERSION ESTA SEPARADO, A TRAVES DE UNA SUPERFICIE DE CONTACTO, DEL SUBSTRATO A PARTIR DEL PRIMER CONJUNTO. LA ONDA TRANSVERSAL DEL SEGUNDO CONJUNTO DE CONVERSION SE PROPAGA A UN TRANSDUCTOR DE RECEPCION QUE FACILITA UNA SEÑAL REPRESENTATIVADE LAS ONDAS. UN CONTACTO EN EL SUBSTRATO TIENE COMO RESULTADO UNA ABSORCION PARCIAL DE LA ENERGIA EN LA PROPAGACION DE LAS ONDAS DE LAMB A LO LARGO DE UN TRAYECTO QUE INTERSECTA LA POSICION DE CONTACTO PARA PRODUCIR UNA PERTURBACION EN EL MISMO QUE SE DETECTA PARA DETERMINAR LA POSICION AXIAL DEL CONTACTO EN EL SUBSTRATO.
