LA N-CLOROACETILGLUTAMINA SE PRODUCE HACIENDO REACCIONAR CLORURO DE CLOROACETILO CON UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA ALCALINA DE GLUTAMINA EN PRESENCIA DE UN SOLVENTE ORGANICO INMISCIBLE EN AGUA, SEPARANDO UNA CAPA ACUOSA SEGUN UNA SEPARACION DE LIQUIDOLIQUIDO Y CRISTALIZANDO LA N-CLOROACETIL-GLUTAMINA DE LA CAPA ACUOSA BAJO CONDICIONES ACIDICAS. LA N-CLOROACETILGLUTAMINA ES UTIL COMO INTERMEDIO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE GLICIL-L-GLUTAMINA QUE TIENE UNA MAYOR ESTABILIDAD QUE LA L-GLUTAMINA Y SE UTILIZA COMO COMPONENTE DE UNA SOLUCION DE INFUSION QUE SE PUEDE OBTENER CON GRAN RENDIMIENTO A BAJO COSTE.
