Abstract

The device is a novel and advantageous replacement for the screws used in fastenings on dental implants, additionally facilitating and simplifying other dental (odontological) work, such as the taking of impressions, scaring-over (healing) or provisional prosthesis. It has a bolt 13 which penetrates a superstructure 8 and the implant 1, securing them effectively and tightly in the longitudinal direction. In the transverse direction, and in order to prevent rotations between said elements 1 and 8, the latter are secured by key-type fittings. The fastening is irreversible, except by means of breaking, with the appropriate dentist's tool, of a region of the bolt 13. Provision has been made for another bolt which is provisional and which allows reversible fastenings without breakage in order to facilitate processes such as the taking of impressions and the healing-over of gums, being applied, respectively, in such cases to a specially designed clinico-prosthetic superstructure and transgingival healing-over sleeve (bush).
