PARA EL SECADO DE LAS PLACAS, LAS PLACAS SON GUIADAS SOBRE PISTAS A TRAVES DE UN SECADOR Y APLICADAS EN CONTACTO CON AIRE DE SECADO EN DOS ETAPAS. EN UNA ETAPA A CON UN PODER DE SECADO MAS ALTO, EL AIRE DE SECADO SE SUMINISTRA A UNA TEMPERATURA MAS ALTA Y CON AL MENOS UNA HUMEDAD MEDIA, Y EN LA OTRA ETAPA B, SE SUMINISTRA AIRE A UNA TEMPERATURA MEDIA Y CON UNA HUMEDAD BAJA. EL CALOR RESIDUAL DEL AIRE QUE SALE A PARTIR DE LA ETAPA A SE UTILIZA PARA EL CALENTAMIENTO PREVIO DEL AIRE DE SECADO. ESTE PROCESO DEBE REDUCIR EL CONSUMO DE ENERGIA PRIMARIA. PARA ESTE OBJETIVO, ES CONOCIDO UN PROCESO QUE CONSISTE EN LA UTILIZACION TAMBIEN DEL CALOR DE CONDENSACION DEL AIRE DE SALIDA. LA ENERGIA PRIMARIA DEBE SER REDUCIDA MEDIANTE UTILIZACION DE CALOR DE CONDENSACION SIN INCREMENTAR SUSTANCIALMENTE LOS REQUERIMIENTOS DE ENERGIA SECUNDARIA. DE ACUERDO CON LA INVENCION EL AIRE DE SALIDA A PARTIR DE LA ETAPA A SE SUMINISTRA A LA ETAPA B A TRAVES DE UN INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR DISPUESTO EN LA PISTA DEL SECADOR. EL AIRE DE SECADO DE LA ETAPA B SE SUMINISTRA EN CONTRACORRIENTE A TRAVES DEL SECADOR CON UNA HUMEDAD Y TEMPERATURAS BAJAS, DE TAL MODO QUE LAS PLACAS SON SECADAS EN LA ETAPA B TANTO MEDIANTE CALOR DE CONDENSACION COMO MEDIANTE CALOR RADIANTE. DE ESTA FORMA SE REQUIERE SOLO UN FLUJO DE MASA REDUCIDA DE AIRE DE SECADO PARA TRANSFERIR EL CALOR DE CONDENSACION. EL CONSUMO DE ENERGIA PRIMARIA Y SECUNDARIA ES BAJO. LA INVENCION ES ADECUADA PARA PLACAS DE SECADO EN PARTICULAR PLACAS PARA EDIFICIOS, TALES COMO TABLEROS DE YESO, DE ESCAYOLA Y TABLEROS DE FIBRA.
