Abstract
EL SISTEMA INCLUYE DOS TRANSMISORES (T1, T2) Y DOS RECEPTORES (R1, R2). UN TRANSMISOR (T1) INCLUYE UN LASER DE LONGITUD DE ONDA SELECCIONABLE, QUE ENVIA UNA SEÑAL OPTICA FSK (OS1) QUE TIENE UNA INTENSIDAD CONSTANTE. EN UN PRIMER RECEPTOR (R1) ESTA SEÑAL OPTICA FSK SE TRANSFORMA EN UNA SEÑAL IM (OS1'') MEDIANTE UN FILTRO OPTICO DE BANDA DE PASO. ESTA SEÑAL IM SE DETECTA ENTONCES MEDIANTE UN PRIMER RECEPTOR DE DETECCION DIRECTA (DM). EN UN SEGUNDO RECEPTOR DE DETECCION DIRECTA (R2) LA SEÑAL OPTICA LED (OS2) NO SE DETECTA, DESDE EL MOMENTO QUE TIENE UNA INTENSIDAD CONSTANTE. UN SEGUNDO TRANSMISOR (T2) INCLUYE UN LASER "FABRY PEROT" O UN LED CON UN ANCHO DE LINEA AMPLIO, QUE ENVIA UNA SEÑAL OPTICA IM (OS2). ESTA SEÑAL OPTICA IM SE DETECTA MEDIANTE EL SEGUNDO RECEPTOR DE DETECCION DIRECTA (R2). LA SEÑAL NO ES DETECTADA POR EL PRIMER RECEPTOR DE DETECCION DIRECTA, A CAUSA DE QUE ESTA FUERTEMENTE ATENUADA A CAUSA DE SU PASO A TRAVES DEL FILTRO OPTICO DE PASO DE BANDA ESTRECHA (TM) ANTES DE SER APLICADO AL PRIMER RECEPTOR DE RETENCION DIRECTA. ESTE SISTEMA ES ESPECIALMENTE VENTAJOSO EN SISTEMAS OPTICOS DE TRANSMISION BIDIRECCIONAL DEBIDO A SU INSENSIBILIDAD INHERENTE PARA LAS REFLEXIONES.
