EL CAUDAL DE LLEGADA SE DESVIA A PARTIR DE UN CIERTO TIEMPO Y PRECIPITACION PREDETERMINADOS. LAS AGUAS PLUVIALES RECOGIDAS EN UNA ARQUETA, PASAN A UN PRIMER COMPARTIMENTO (17), UNA VEZ ATRAVESADO UN FILTRO INCLINADO (18), PREVISTO EN COMUNICACION CON EL DEPOSITO BASCULANTE (3) QUE DEFINE LA VALVULA PROPIAMENTE DICHA Y QUE SE ENCUENTRA EN OTRA ARQUETA, LLENANDOSE PAULATINAMENTE ESTE DEPOSITO EN EL TIEMPO MINIMO PARA EL CIERRE DE LA VALVULA. EL DEPOSITO BASCULANTE (3) ESTA ASISTIDO POR UN CONTRAPESO (13) DEJANDO LIBRE UNA ABERTURA U ORIFICIO (10) DE PASO DE LOS CAUDALES CUANDO NO EXISTEN PRECIPITACIONES. CUANDO LLUEVE Y LLEGADO A UN CIERTO NIVEL EL DEPOSITO (3), GIRA Y CIERRA LA ABERTURA (10) HACIENDO QUE EL AGUA SE DESVIE POR EL TUBO DE DERIVACION (5). EL DEPOSITO(3) CUENTA CON DOS SERIES DE ORIFICIOS (14 Y 15) PARA EVACUAR EL AGUA DE SU INTERIOR, TANTO EN LAS POSICIONES DE CIERRE COMO DE APERTURA DE LA VALVULA.
