LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO PAR LA PURIFICACION BIOLOGICA DE AGUA RESIDUAL CONTAMINADA CON COMPUESTOS DE CARBON ORGANICO Y NITROGENO, SIENDO LOS COMPUESTOS DE NITROGENO NITRIFICADOS PRIMERAMENTE EN UNA ETAPA (1) DE TRATAMIENTO AEROBICO Y A CONTINUACION DESNITRIFICADOS EN UNA ETAPA (2) DE TRATAMIENTO ANAEROBICO, CON PREFERENCIA PARA FORMAR NITROGENO MOLECULAR. LA INVENCION PROPONE QUE AL MENOS UNA PARTE DE LOS COMPUESTOS DE CARBON SE SEPARE A PARTIR DEL AGUA RESIDUAL (P.EJ. MEDIANTE ABSORCION 3) ANTES DE QUE ENTRE EN LA ETAPA DE TRATAMIENTO AEROBICO Y QUE AL MENOS UNA PARTE DEL COMPUESTO (4) DE CARBON SEPARADO SE AÑADA DE NUEVO AL AGUA RESIDUAL PARA SER TRATADA DE FORMA ANAEROBICA EN UNA SEGUNDA ETAPA. EL PROCEDIMIENTO PROPONE CONDICIONES OPTIMAS ADECUADAS PARA EL ESTABLECIMIENTO DE MICROORGANISMOS PRESENTES EN CADA UNA DE LAS DOS ETAPAS.
