EL PROPIO PISTON ESTA GUIADO DENTRO DE UN ELEMENTO DE GUIADO ATACADO ALREDEDOR POR LA CITADA ENVOLVENTE. LA ENVOLVENTE CILINDRICA EXTERIOR PRESENTA AL MENOS UN MEDIO DE RETENCION QUE SE PUEDE LLEVAR A ENGRANAR CON EL ELEMENTO DE GUIADO, MEDIANTE EL CUAL ESTE SE PUEDE PROTEGER CONTRA UNA PARTICIPACION EN EL MOVIMIENTO DEL PISTON AL EMBRAGAR Y DESEMBRAGAR. SE PUEDE ELIMINAR ADEMAS MEDIANTE EL PISTON, EN CASO DE UN DESPLAZAMIENTO AXIAL DEL MISMO PROVOCADO POR DESGASTE EN EL EMBRAGUE DE FRICCION, LA ACCION DEL MEDIO DE RETENCION PARA UN MOVIMIENTO DE DESPLAZAMIENTO DEL ELEMENTO DE GUIADO.
