EL CABLE DE FIBRA OPTICA TIENE UNA PLURALIDAD DE FIBRAS OPTICAS LOCALIZADAS EN LA PARTE CENTRAL. PORTANDO LAS FIBRAS OPTICAS ESTA UN TUBO AMORTIGUADOR DE PLASTICO LLENO DE GEL. UNA PLURALIDAD DE HILADAS DE HILOS DE RESISTENCIA SE EXTIENDEN A LO LARGO DEL EXTERIOR DEL TUBO AMORTIGUADOR SIGUIENDO UN PATRON DE CONTRA-HELICE. A LA COBERTURA PROTECTORA DEL CABLE SE LE PUEDE PROVEER DE UNA PIEZA DE PROTECCION EN LA FORMA DE UNA CAPA DE ARMADURA EXTERIOR DE ACERO ONDULADA PARA DOTARLA DE PROTECCION ADICIONAL CONTRA DAÑOS POSIBLES CAUSADOS POR ROEDORES. NORMALMENTE LA ARMADURA EXTERIOR ESTA CUBIERTA DE UNA FINA CAPA DE MATERIAL PLASTICO EN LA FORMA DE UN COMPUESTO DE INUNDACION QUE SE BLOQUEA POR AGUA.
