Abstract
Procesos de descontaminación de aguas residuales por acción de hidróxido cálcico a concentraciones cercanas a la saturación y posterior neutralización con dióxido de carbono, proveniente de los vertidos atmosféricos, dando lugar a precipitación de fangos y carbonato cálcico. Estos procesos se caracterizan por la utilización de hidróxido cálcico en el tratamiento de las aguas residuales en cantidades que pueden ser superiores a las actualmente utilizadas, es decir en cantidades que dan lugar un pH superior a 10, que es el pH máximo que actualmente permite la legislación vigente sobre vertidos industriales, y después de precipitar y separar los fangos, posterior neutralización con dióxido de carbono proveniente de gases de combustión. Tienen aplicación en aguas residuales que contienen materia orgánica.
