Abstract

Procedimiento para impartir a la lana propiedades de resistencia al encogimiento. Procedimiento para reducir y/o evitar el encogimiento de artículos confeccionados con fibras queratínicas tales como lana y pelo animal mejorando también la blancura y las características tintóreas y reduciendo la tendencia a la formación de pelusa. El método consiste en la utilización de un biopolímero biodegradable y no tóxico, como el quitosano, aplicado a lana que previamente haya sido sometida a alguno de los siguientes tratamientos: agua oxigenada en condiciones alcalinas, baño de agua a pH neutro o ligeramente alcalino, solución acuosa de tensioactivo aniónico y plasma a baja temperatura y presión.
