Abstract
Mejora en el objeto de la patente principal nº 207.474 o sea en un procedimiento para la obtención de ácido tereftálico caracterizada por tratarse primeramente bicloruro p-xililénico a temperaturas de alrededor de 100º con ácido nítrico de una concentración de 40-60% preferentemente de 50% hasta que se forma ácido p-clorometilbenzoico después de lo cual se separa el producto intermedio formado y se somete aposta a una nueva oxidación con ácido nítrico de la concentración más arriba indicada a temperatura de hasta 120º.
