Abstract

Sensor óptico para detergentes. Dispositivo óptico capaz de determinar, de forma continua e in situ, la concentración de detergentes, tensioagentes o surfactantes ("analitos'') contenidos en una muestra líquida. Dicho dispositivo utiliza como material sensible ciertos complejos metal-orgánicos luminiscentes [como por ejemplo, el bis (1,10-fenantrolina-(4,7-di(fenilsulfonato))(5-octadecanamida-1,10-fenantrolina)rutenato(II)disódico], cuya intensidad, tiempo de vida (i.e. el inverso de la constante de velocidad) y/o anisotropía (polarización) de la emisión de luz visible aumentan en presencia de concentraciones crecientes de dichos analitos presentes en dicha muestra. Se describe asimismo la adaptación de dicho dispositivo sensor óptico a la monitorización de detergentes en medio acuoso mediante el empleo de un sistema de fibra óptica combinado con la inmovilización de dichos compuestos luminiscentes en una matriz polimérica adecuada. La sensibilidad de dicho dispositivo a los distintos detergentes (canónicos, aniónicos y neutros) es función de la estructura del indicador luminiscente utilizado, del procedimiento de inmovilización del mismo y de la naturaleza de la muestra y el(los) analito(s).
