LOS COMPUESTOS DE VITAMINA D FAVORECEN LA UTILIZACION DE FOSFORO, CALCIO, POTASIO, MAGNESIO, ZINC, HIERRO Y MANGANESO, DE FORMA QUE ES POSIBLE REDUCIR AL MINIMO, O QUIZAS ELIMINAR, LA NECESIDAD DE APORTAR UN SUPLEMENTO DE ESTOS MINERALES A LA DIETA ANIMAL. ASIMISMO, LOS ALIMENTOS ANIMALES CON BAJO CONTENIDO EN FOSFORO REDUCEN LOS EFECTOS CONTAMINANTES SOBRE EL MEDIO AMBIENTE, COMO CONSECUENCIA DE UNA MENOR EXCRECION DE FOSFORO EN LAS HECES DEL ANIMAL QUE SE DISEMINA POR EL TERRENO AGRICOLA.
