Abstract

El dispositivo consiste en una cámara de vacío (1) con aperturas (3) que está conectada a una bomba de vacío (2). Colocando el dispositivo en la superficie de la córnea y después haciendo el vacío, se consigue una deformación plástica de la zona de la córnea por debajo de las aperturas. El resultado es que la curvatura de la córnea y la refracción del ojo son modificadas.Una córnea mas plana reduce o corrige la miopía.
