EN UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA RECUPERACION Y RECICLADO DE POLIMEROS ORGANICOS, EN PARTICULAR PLASTICOS, QUE CONTIENEN METALES PESADOS, CON UN CONTENIDO EN ADITIVOS QUE CONTIENEN METALES PESADOS, POR EJEMPLO, PIGMENTOS, ESTABILIZADORES Y SUSTANCIAS DE RELLENO, LOS POLIMEROS ORGANICOS SON FUNDIDOS Y DESCOMPUESTOS TERMICAMENTE MEDIANTE LA SEPARACION DE LOS POLIMEROS. LA FRACCION QUE CONTIENE ALCANOS Y OLEFINAS Y QUE ES VOLATIL A LA TEMPERATURA DE DESCOMPOSICION, ES CONDENSADA Y RETENIDA. EL RESIDUO NO VOLATIL ES SOMETIDO ENTONCES A UNA EXTRACCION MEDIANTE UN DISOLVENTE, UTILIZANDOSE COMO DISOLVENTE LA FRACCION RETENIDA QUE CONTIENE ALCANOS Y OLEFINAS.
