Abstract

Process of joint biological purification of phosphorus and carbonaceous organic matter, using fixed biofilm on hydrophobic support and permeable to the flow of gases, and with feeding of oxygenation gases through the support, characterized by the use of a phosphorus removal reactor, carbonaceous organic matter, with simultaneous nitrification and denitrification of urban, agricultural or industrial wastewater, in continuous or discontinuous maneuver, characterized by the use of hydrophobic membranes permeable to the flow of gases as the main oxygenation and biomass support system; ability to work under alternate anaerobic and aerobic conditions; the faculty of work in continuous or discontinuous maneuver, an in-line precipitation system of the effluent phosphorus; and due to the adaptability of the process against the variation of organic loads through a variable cycle system, with an automatic system for detecting concentration of carbonaceous organic matter.
