SE DESCRIBE UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE PRODUCCION DIRECTA DE HIERRO COLADO, A PARTIR DE UN MINERAL DE HIERRO, EN UN APARATO QUE TIENE DOS CAMARAS COMUNICADAS Y COMPRENDIENDO LAS SIGUIENTES FASES: PRERREDUCCION Y PRECALENTAMIENTO HASTA EL PUNTO DE MOLDEO DEL MINERAL FERRUGINOSO, EN UNA PRIMERA CAMARA PRACTICAMENTE CILINDRICA; REDUCCION FINAL, CEMENTACION Y MOLDEO DEL HIERRO RESULTANTE, EN UNA SEGUNDA CAMARA DISPUESTA POR DEBAJO DE LA PRIMERA, EN DONDE EL CARBON Y EL OXIGENO INYECTADOS EN LA SEGUNDA CAMARA PRODUCEN UN GAS REDUCTOR, SIMULTANEAMENTE EN LA PRIMERA Y EN LA SEGUNDA CAMARAS.
