Engranaje de acoplamiento, especialmente en una caja de cambios, bien en un manguito de cambio o bien en una rueda de marcha, cuyos dientes están dispuestos por su parte inferior en una base cilÍndrica (12) respecto del eje de rotación, son alargados en sentido axial y están provistos en su extremo de acoplamiento de un contorno de cubierta descendiente desde la parte inferior del diente (1) hasta la parte superior del diente (2), que presenta un borde (5) redondeado, caracterizado porque el radio de curvatura del borde de la cubierta aumenta desde la parte inferior del diente (1) hasta la parte superior del diente (2) según una función dada.
