Abstract
Oak leaves or bark are boiled in water which is then mixed with detergent, alkanolamine and glycol components. A foaming composition used for fighting all types of fires in order to prevent them reigniting, is prepared by cold-mixing a mixture of (A) 1-9 % synthetic foaming detergents and (B) 0.5-5 % alkanolamine/glycol with (C) 90 % water in which oak (quercus robur) leaves and bark have been boiled for 10 minutes.
