Abstract

System for protecting terrain, notably sports fields.A system is described for protecting terrain, notably sports fields, consisting of a flexible, impermeable, resistant sheet (1), held up by tapered conduits (2), through which air is introduced/extracted by a pump (5), in order to extend/retract the sheet (1) by the positive/negative pressure created. The sheet retraction operation (1) causes the conduits (2) to pull together, like an accordion, due to the reinforcing supports built into the conduits.<IMAGE>
