Abstract

Procedimiento de fabricación de un nuevo polímero tipo EVA, producto así obtenido y sus aplicaciones. El procedimiento comprende someter aun proceso de mezclado con extrusión los siguientes polímeros en las cantidades indicadas: - polietileno 65-72% en peso sobre el total, - poliacetato de vinilo: 20-25% en peso sobre el total y, - polímero EVA; 5-8% en peso sobre el total, a una temperatura comprendida entre 120 y 180ºC. El polímero así obtenido presenta cadenas poliméricas ramificadas y entrecruzadas con un esqueleto básico de polietileno en el que se ordenan al azar bloques de ramificaciones acetato procedentes de la cadena de poliacetato de vinilo. Este producto tiene aplicación como modificador de betunes asfálticos.
