Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento para prevenir la formación de aerosoles de ácido sulfúrico en las plantas de depuración de gas de combustión, donde dicho gas de combustión se preimpregna con agua antes de que el ácido sulfúrico contenido en el gas de combustión alcance el punto de rocío, llevándose a cabo esta preimpregnación aguas arriba del purificador de gas, aguas arriba del prelavador instalado junto al purificador de gas, o agua arriba de un cambiador de calor situado aguas arriba del lavador, y de tal manera que el ácido sulfúrico gaseoso se absorbe por el agua antes de alcanzar el punto de rocío.
