Abstract

The epilator consists of a hand held housing in which a rotating cylinder with sets of clamps is mounted. The clamps are operated by pushrods (10, 11) which are moved from a rest position in given directions (F, G) by conical rollers which act against the ends of the rods. The rods are loaded apart endways by a spring (12). The rods are cut back so that they are L-shaped. Two identical rods are placed together to form an operating unit (13) for the clamps. The mating faces of the pushrods have protrusions and recesses which limit the linear movement of the rods. The spring (12) is mounted in recesses which are cut in the faces of the rods. The spring acts on the rods to move them in the opposite directions (-F, -G) when the conical rollers do not engage with the ends of the rods.
