Abstract

Procedimiento de preparación de un antibiótico de cefalosporina oralmente activo, Cefixime. La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparación de antibiótico de cefalosporina oralmente activo - Cefixime, de fórmula I en el que, a temperatura ambiente y durante 30 a 90 minutos se hace reaccionar el éster de la fórmula II en disolvente orgánico con solución acuosa de base inorgánica en presencia de un catalizador de transferencia de fase, permitiendo que la mezcla resultante se asiente hasta la separación de las fases acuosa y orgánica, aislando el Cefixime de la pureza requerida, por acidificación y a partir de la fase acuosa.
