Abstract

The invention relates to a narrow front-loading washing machine consisting of a chassis housing a drum (10) in a position in which the faces of said drum are located on a plane perpendicular to the front face of the washing machine. The front door (9) of the washing machine is located in the center area of its front face, said front door (9) communicating a hatch of the inner drum (10) with the outside by means of rubber conduit (1) that is slightly bent upward. The locking system of the hatch of the drum (10) consists of a door (2) that slides on guides (7) and that is driven by opposing springs (6) when it is opened. It also has a dual function latch bolt (3) serving as push button for opening and as a trigger to keep the door (2) of the drum (10) open and a second bolt (5) actuated by an electric magnet that blocks the drum (10) in a position in which the door (2) coincides with the hatch (9).
