Abstract

Lente para cirugía vítreo-retiniana en oftalmología, aplicable a la extracción y substitución del vítreo en pacientes operados de determinadas afecciones oculares, constituida por un cuerpo de un material refringente en forma de casquete esférico de espesor preferentemente uniforme, que presenta en su parte polar central una fenestración circular coaxial y centrada. Siendo el material formante del casquete esférico preferentemente el metacrilato de polímero. Los parámetros dimensionales definitorios de la lente son los siguientes: diámetro, 12 milímetros; radio de curvatura de la cara cóncava 7,5 mm; espesor de pared, de 0,5 a 1 mm; flecha de la cara convexa 2,7 mm; diámetro de la fenestración central, 4 mm.
