Abstract
Nuevos derivados sulfonados como inhibidores de la ciclooxigenasa II. La presente invención se refiere a compuestos de fórmula general I, **FORMULA** inhibidores selectivos de la ciclooxigenasa-II en los que D es un grupo -C(R{sup,2}) (R{sup,3}) -C(R{sup,4}) (R{sup,5})-, -C(R{sup,2})=C(R{sup,4})- ó -C=C-; A es un birradical -CO-, -O-, -S-, ó -NH- y E es halógeno, (C{sub,1}-C{sub,6})-alquilo, (C{sub,2}-C{sub,6})-alquenilo, (C{sub,2}-C{sub,6})-alquinilo, etc, a sus sales y solvatos farmacéuticamente aceptables, y a las composiciones farmacéuticas que las contienen. Los compuestos de la presente invención son útiles en el tratamiento de la inflamación, dolor y fiebre, así como de aquellas otras afecciones que recientemente se han asociado con las ciclooxigenasas, especialmente con la ciclooxigenasa-II, como, por ejemplo, el cáncer colorectal y la enfermedad de Alzheimer. De igual modo, la presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparación de los compuestos, así como a su utilización terapéutica.
