Abstract
Un método para la conversión de una cadena de bits entrante MPEG-2 en una cadena de bits compatible con la norma SMPTE-259, comprendiendo el método las etapas de: a. determinar la frecuencia de bits de la cadena de bits entrante MPEG-2; b. descodificar la cadena de bits entrante MPEG-2; c. codificar nuevamente la cadena de bits entrante descodificada MPEG-2 como cadena de bits de cuadro o fotograma I completo; d. suprimir o desechar selectivamente el cuadro I nuevamente codificado situado en el lugar 1.001 de la cadena de bits de cuadro I completo; e. suprimir o desechar selectivamente la información de píxel procedente del cuadro I nuevamente codificado situado en el lugar 1.001 de la cadena de cuadro I completo; y f. codificar a continuación los cuadros I resultantes nuevamente codificados y no desechados como cadena de bits según SMPTE259.
