Abstract

Luz para vehículos automóviles que comprende: un cuerpo hueco (2) con una abertura frontal cubierta por un elemento transparente (4) y una estructura reflectante principal (3) orientada hacia el elemento transparente (4), y una fuente de luz (6) situada a un lado del cuerpo hueco (2), a la que se encuentra asociado un elemento reflectante auxiliar (5), para dirigir los rayos de luz emitidos por la fuente (6) hacia la estructura reflectante principal (3), la cual está adaptada para reflejarlos hacia el elemento transparente (4), con el fin de obtener un haz luminoso de características predeterminadas que emerge de dicho elemento transparente (4), el elemento transparente (4) carece de elementos ópticos por lo menos en una parte sustancial del mismo, por lo que dicha estructura reflectante principal (3) es visible desde el exterior, caracterizada porque: dicha estructura reflectante principal (3) presenta una configuración similar a una concha, con una pluralidad de sectores superficiales ópticamente activos (8) alternados con paredes de conexión (9) que son sustancialmente radiales con respecto a la fuente, con lo cual aparecen como zonas no iluminadas para el observador, generando así un efecto óptico de sectores iluminados alternando con sectores no iluminados, dichos sectores superficiales ópticamente activos (8) son generados geométricamente por traslación o rotación a partir de una familia de curvas generatrices respectivas (11) cada una de las cuales presenta ondulaciones (10) con un paso inferior al paso con que se distribuyen los sectores superficiales ópticamente activos (8).
