Abstract
Un rotor para freno de disco con una composición de fundición gris, cuya composición comprende entre 0,5 % y 1,2 % en peso de cobre, y una pluralidad de metales que forman carburos duros seleccionados entre vanadio, titanio, wolframio, cromo, molibdeno y niobio, pero que incluye siempre vanadio y titanio, siendo la proporción entre el peso de cobre presente y el peso total de los citados metales que forman carburos duros, de entre 1,8 y 3 unidades de cobre frente a una unidad de los metales que forman carburos duros, y en la que el peso del vanadio presente en la composición es menor o igual que la mitad del peso del cobre presente sumado a 20 veces el peso del titanio presente.
