EL OXIGENO QUE EXISTE DENTRO DE LA TAPA SE DESCOMPONE POR EL PROCESO RESPIRATORIO DE LOS HONGOS, BACTERIAS Y CELULAS DE LA MADERA QUE SIGUEN VIVOS, FORMANDOSE DE ESE MODO CO 2 Y H 2 O. LOS PROCESOS DE FRAGMENTACION PRODUCEN IGUALMENTE LA DESCOMPOSICION DE LAS HEMICELULOSAS Y SACARIDOS, QUE SE CONVIERTEN EN ACIDOS ORGANICOS Y CO 2 . EL CONTENIDO DE OXIGENO DEL RECUBRIMIENTO ES INFERIOR AL 0,1% EN VOLUMEN DESPUES DE UN TIEMPO DE AJUSTE DE 3 A 10 DIAS DE ALMACENAMIENTO TOTAL, MIENTRAS QUE EL MENCIONADO CONTENIDO DE CO 2 SUBE A MAS DEL 21 AL 40% EN VOLUMEN.
