SE DESCRIBE UN METODO PARA EXTRAER SELECTIVAMENTE FRACCIONES DE BAJO PESO MOLECULAR DE UN POLIMERO POLI(ARILENO SULFURO) AL CONTACTARLO CON UN COMPUESTO POLAR ORGANICO Y UNO PROMOTOR PARA FORMAR UNA FASE LIQUIDA POLIMERO-ESCASA MENOS DENSA Y UNA FASE LIQUIDA POLIMERO-RICA MAS DENSA Y RECUPERAR EL POLIMERO DESDE LA FASE POLIMERO-RICA. ALTERNATIVAMENTE, CUALQUIERA DE LAS FASES SE PUEDE AISLAR Y EL COMPUESTO POLAR ORGANICO Y OPCIONALMENTE EL PROMOTOR PUEDEN AÑADIRSE PARA FORMAR DOS NUEVAS FASES, SEGUIDO DEL AISLAMIENTO DE LA NUEVA FASE POLIMERO-RICA.
