Abstract

Vehicle maintenance, information and breakdown diagnostic system.The invention describes a vehicle breakdown system that includes a personal computer located in the rear of the vehicle repair workshop that has a communication card with two cables coming from it. The cables are connected to the diagnostic port on the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (UEC) that enables an information exchange with the card, which converts the received signals into data that can be used by the computer to be transmitted to a remote, central server via the Internet. The data undergoes analysis in the central server's database sending the results back to the workshop or dealer. It allows viewing oscillograms of the signals obtained from the UEC and comparing the data to the master oscillograms.
