Abstract

SE PRODUCE UN PROBLEMA CON UNIDADES DE CINTA (TU) CUANDO NO TIENE EXITO LA ESCRITURA DE DATOS EN UNA CINTA. EL ORDENADOR NO SABE LOS BLOQUES (1-25) QUE SE HAN ALMACENADO SATISFACTORIAMENTE. LOS BLOQUES DE DATOS SE ALMACENAN EN UNA MEMORIA INTERMEDIA CIRCULAR DURANTE EL TIEMPO NECESARIO QUE PERMITA ASEGURARSE DE QUE EL ALMACENAMIENTO EN LA CINTA (TA) HAYA TENIDO EXITO. LA MEMORIA INTERMEDIA CIRCULAR PUEDE IMPLEMENTARSE COMO AREAS DE MEMORIA INTERMEDIA (BA1, BA2) EN UNIDADES DE DISCO (W1, W2). LOS BLOQUES DE DATOS NO SOLO SE ALMACENAN EN LA UNIDAD DE CINTA, SINO TAMBIEN EN LA PRIMERA MEMORIA INTERMEDIA (BA1), HASTA QUE ESTA LLENA. ENTONCES, LOS BLOQUES SE ALMACENAN EN LA SEGUNDA MEMORIA INTERMEDIA (BA2), HASTA QUE ESTA TAMBIEN ESTA LLENA Y SE UTILIZA DE NUEVO LA PRIMERA MEMORIA INTERMEDIA (BA1). CUANDO EXISTE UN PROBLEMA CON LA UNIDAD DE CINTA, ESTA SE REINICIALIZA, CON LO QUE LOS DATOS EN LA MEMORIA DE CINTA (TM) SE PIERDEN. LA PERDIDA DE DATOS SE EVITA LEYENDO LOS DATOS DE LA MEMORIA INTERMEDIA CIRCULAR.
