Abstract
Método de agitación electromagnética para cristalizadores, del tipo que incluyen placas o que se basan en el mismo, utilizado en la colada continua de palanquillas, desbastes, desbastes rectangulares, piezas redondeadas, utilizando el método unos medios para generar un campo magnético que interacciona con el metal colado en el interior del cristalizador, estando caracterizado el método porque incluye la circulación de corrientes eléctricas (13) directamente en y a lo largo de las paredes laterales del cristalizador (10), presentando el componente principal de las corrientes (13) una dirección paralela al eje (12) de colada del cristalizador (10) y presentando una dirección y una intensidad deseadas, generando las corrientes (13) unas fuerzas electromagnéticas con una dirección perpendicular al eje (12) de colada con la función de obtener una separación de la piel del metal que se solidifica con respecto a la pared lateral del cristalizador y una reducción consecuente en la fricción entre la piel y la pared lateral.
