PARA ELLO SE UTILIZA COMO MEDIO DE METILIZACION UN METANOL QUE SE ENCUENTRA A UNA TEMPERATURA Y PRESION SOBRECRITICAS O CERCANAS A SER CRITICAS O UNA MEZCLA EQUIVALENTE AL METANOL COMPUESTA POR HIDROGENO Y MONOXIDO DE CARBONO Y/O DIOXIDO DE CARBONO, Y COMO CATALIZADOR UN CATALIZADOR DE OXIDO MIXTO PRODUCIDO A PARTIR DE HIDROTALCITAS, QUE MUESTRA AL MENOS UN OXIDO DE COBRE Y OXIDO DE MAGNESIO, ASI COMO AL MENOS UN OXIDO DE METAL TRIVALENTE, POR EJEMPLO, OXIDO DE ALUMINIO, OXIDO DE HIERRO (III), OXIDO DE VANADIO, OXIDO DE CROMO Y/U OXIDO DE GALIO.
