Abstract

The jar (10) is rectangular and has a cylindrical connecting ring (12) with an outer periphery (14) with four evenly distributed holder arms (15). This holder arms are for a closure lid (13) which has elastically deformable locking elements (19) in the ring's radial direction and which grip under the holder arms. The holder arms are at the corners of the jar. At least two curved opening arms (16) between the ring's holder arms rise in a peripheral direction from a lowest point (17) to at least one highest point (18) on the ring. When the lid is opened, the opening arms cooperage with slide lugs (28) on the insides of the lid walls (26,27). The locking elements consist of curved segmented arms (20) on which are inward protruding holder lugs (21) and which have protuberances (23) for a lid seal (24) in the lid.
